As part of an on-going training effort to share expertise across teams, increase the collective knowledge base, and provide better service delivery to the campus, CSS Research Administration (RA) recently published (at the url: sharedservices.berkeley.edu/research-administration/post-award-and-fund-management) a list entitled “Subject Matter Resources” that provides administrators contact information for RAs who have significant experience in a wide range of grants-related matters.
RAs can make use of this list when they have questions regarding one of these areas in which they may need more guidance or information. These subject matter resources, given their experienced backgrounds, should be able to offer direction and insight for troubleshooting various contracts and grants-related issues. The list includes pre- and post-award topics such as cost transfers, NIH grants, payroll expense transfers, cost sharing, effort reporting, and much more.
Note: The expectation is not for those resources listed to be able to answer every question but to provide general insight to help their colleagues move in the right direction.
