CSS Recruiting has re-aligned from Campus Shared Services to UC Berkeley’s Central Human Resources (CHR) effective July 2, 2018.
This move represents an opportunity to better integrate Recruiting with key aspects of the employee lifecycle (e.g., training, engagement, career progression, etc.) upon which Central HR already delivers. Also, CHR anticipates to better support many efforts within their strategic plan such as strengthening the diverse talent pipeline and improving internal staff mobility / career development avenues. Recruiting will still provide the same great service they’re known for ~ they’ll just be aligned differently and in a new location.
Standard Recruiting support they provide includes:
- Applicant Tracking System (TAM) management to track and select candidates, job posting management, etc.
- Managing the posting of open positions on appropriate campus websites and other advertising locations
- Consulting on labor market expertise, campus hiring strategies, candidate management/screening, Affirmative Action goals, and exception processes (i.e, waivers)
- Preparing and issuing Offer Letters and/or employment contracts including compliance documentation
Administrative support for Recruiting services is based on a fee-for-service model. To begin the recruitment process for a new hire, go to the Service Catalog and submit an online service request (ticket) for the type of Recruiting you need.
Units who need to hire 10 or more employees at one time (10 or more is a “mass hire”), should submit one service request (ticket) with all the necessary information and the applicable CSS Human Resources Partner (HRP) will contact you directly for further details.
